1st Day of 1st Grade

Can't believe that this goober is in 1st grade already! His mother is a goober too. I wasn't able to stay home to see him leave for his first day of school this year, so Katie was left to take his picture. It took the two of them about a dozen tries before they even got one with his eyes open. It turned out really good though and so did the one at his school. It's definitely been a transition that has been more difficult than we expected. Drew says that first grade isn't as fun as kindergarten. He's doing well and learning a lot, but we still need to cut down on our talking. Katie is going to be room mom! I'm sure it will be an interesting year for all of us.
