The Best Band You've Never Heard

Or maybe you have, I dunno. If you are a loyal reader then you have probably seen their Christmas video I posted a few months back. Or you may have seen that Katie and I have been to see them before and checked them out. Or if you are from Memphis or Nashville, which a lot of people who read this are, then you may have heard them. But anyways, a couple of Thursday nights ago Katie and I went to the Hi-Tone and heard what is probably the best band much of the world has never heard, Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors. Everyone of their songs is great. They have so much energy and excitement when they play, it's like someone just asked them to get up and play. We had great seats on the side right in front of the lovely Ellie Holcomb. The knowing looks that Drew and her give each other all night long are great to see. You can tell that they are just having fun and are grateful to be up there. Plus, Katie and I had never been to the Hi-Tone and it was a great little place and another Memphis institution to check off the list. And we went to Bosco's beforehand to make for a great little date night with some beer, pizza, and music. I highly recommend Bosco's Tennessee Cream Ale out on the patio.
