Playhouse Disney Live!

Having the back of your seat kicked for two hours. Snotty noses. Incessant chattering. Flashy twirly light up things. A headache. An intense fear of Chuck E. Cheese and your child's future birthday parties. This is the gamut of emotions and experiences of an adult at Playhouse Disney Live. It was a madhouse of chaos. At least Drew had a fun time. Katie and I decided to forgo a Valentine's Day date with each other and instead took Drew to see his favorite Disney characters at the Cannon Center downtown for Valentine's Day. He did really well paying attention and he seemed to get more into as the show went on. We had a rough start though because Mickey came out shortly at the beginning and then left while the other characters sang. This worried Drew and he kept asking us "where did Mickey go?" But by the end we were singing, dancing, and clapping along. And we were able to successfully shield Drew from the toys so that we didn't have to buy him any flashy twirly light up things or any of the other toys they were selling. Afterward Drew had a blast walking along the mall downtown on the way back to the car; so much so that Katie and I were wondering if we could have left out the show and just come down there and let him run around. But I'm sure he loved it and I know we will be hearing for weeks to come about seeing Mickey, the Little Einsteins, Pooh, and Handy Manny.
