Rebels 45; Tigers 14

I should have handed the ball off and punted and gone in (behind) 10-7 at the half. That's on me.

This pretty much sums up my thoughts on the game Sunday. The game was not pretty. There was bad play by both teams for most of the afternoon. If you would have told me before the game that the Tigers would only be down 10-7 at the half, I would have taken it in a heartbeat. Instead they threw away the game and any momentum they had with a pass over the middle that was intercepted and returned for a TD with less than a minute to go in the half. Even so the game was still close until the fourth quarter when Ole Miss finally wore the Tigers down and exploded to make the game look like a blowout. Highly touted Ole Miss QB Jevan Snead did not play well for most of the game. Unfortunately, Memphis QB Arkelon Hall looked much worse. To top it off it was really hot Sunday. Until it rained at the end of the game that is.

Having said all that, it was still a great day. Any day with football is a great day. Plus tailgating. Where else can you watch multiple people getting stuck in the mud and men running out to help get them unstuck while a crowd forms and cheers them on? Drew had a great time. I apologize for the great multitude of pictures, but you can't deny the cuteness. He is a football star in the making. Or at least a star tailgater and super cute kid. And he's dressed just like me, although I forgot to get a picture of just the two of us together. Alas, there will be more games. Hopefully Drew will make it to them, as he almost wasn't able to make the trip back inside the Yaun household after the game. His Uncle Brad thought it was a good idea to teach him to yell "Go Vols!" and somehow Drew knew this would anger me to no end and kept repeating it all day. At least he wasn't singing Hotty Toddy.

Note: The picture of me napping is after the game and I have a good excuse. I worked the night before and had to go to work again that evening so I was trying to get some rest. I'm in the LeBonheur ER this month and it's crazy busy.

It was also my dad's birthday party Sunday so we had a little celebration at our tailgate. Happy Birthay Dad!

Also last week marked the 3 year anniversary of my mother's cancer survivorship, so congratulations to her! What a strong woman and a great example.

At least Drew is adorable in his Tiger gear, so it's all good.

Great fun no matter the outcome of the game. Drew is the cutest little Tiger fan! Thanks for the acknowledge of my third anniversary. I'm thankful for the support of my family and my good health.
