Mother's Day Game 7

What a Mother's Day! Fortunately, our home team didn't have the same fate as the hometown Grizzlies. We started the day at church, where everyone came to watch Drew sing in big church with the first Bellevue Arlington children's choir. We left early though to head down to the FedEx Forum for Game 7 of the first round of the NBA Playoffs, Grizzlies versus Clippers. Jerry "The King" Lawler was there, so I immediately thought "We got this!" But the Grizz never did pull down the strap and ended up laying a big egg, losing Game 7 at home for the first time in NBA history. Not really, but it's fairly rare. We still had a great time wearing our Believe Memphis t-shirts and waving our Believe Memphis Growl Towels, although this version of the Grizzlies made it awfully hard to believe at times. But no matter the outcome I still had a great time with Drew and my mom and dad. It was great to be able to spend Mother's Day at the Forum with my mom watching some hoops. Later that night we went to Brad and Sarah's house where we finished honoring the mom's for the day, giving them their cards and presents. We got some good pictures of Katie and the kids. In the end it was a great Mother's Day that we'll never forget. If only the Grizzlies had won and kept winning maybe we could have spent Father's Day in the Forum at the NBA Finals.
