Hayes Bradley Morris

The time was 3:50 PM. There was pregnant Sarah, Brad, Katie, and myself in the hospital room. The nurse had just left. They had last checked on Sarah around 2 PM and she was 6 centimeters then. The nurse was going to come back at 4 PM to check again. All of the sudden Sarah wanted the nurse to come right back into the room. "Nah," we all said. "You're fine. She'll be back in 5 minutes." That's what we said several times until Sarah had enough and called for her. Turns out Sarah was right. She was ready. Then Hayes Bradley Morris came into the world at 5:10 PM on Tuesday, July 10th. Sarah's blood pressure was high at her doctor's visit the day before, so she was induced. We spent the entire day at the hospital waiting. After the birth Brad came out into the hall to give us the thumbs up that everything was okay. Then we all went into the room together for the great announcement when we found out it was a boy and the name. Then we all passed him around. We stayed around a little while to see them all in the room and then hit the Waffle House for a late dinner. It was a very special day. It's hard to believe that my little sister has a baby now. Brad too. They got to go home a couple days later and both Sarah and Hayes are doing well. Drew can't wait to teach him all the things that a cousin needs to learn, and I can't wait to teach him all the things that Brad has taught Drew! Congratulations Sarah and Brad!
