Drew completed his first school project last week, a page entitled Marvelous Me that was all about him. We were instructed to make one sheet, front and back, that was all about Drew using pictures, drawings, etc. Everyone's page will go into the binder that the Star of the Week will take home each week. They're going in alphabetical order, so of course Drew will be last. We started with the pictures first. We got a stack of about 30 and Drew picked his favorites from those. Then we decided what else was important to us. The front has family and the Tigers. You can see that a lot of sports made the list. So did the American flag. We also kind of talked Drew into putting the Bellevue crosses on his page. The back page is all about travel, with Disney World and the beach, and then baseball.
We had some fun and frustrations with our project. We initially had a yellow sheet that was sent home from the teacher. However, the first try at putting the pictures on there involved glue, then the pictures curling up, and finally the pictures getting creases in them. We traveled back to Walgreen's for more pictures. The second take went a lot better and we did up having a lot of fun. Dad's all ready for the next challenge to come, of many more throughout the years I'm sure.
