Tigers vs. Blue Raiders

Last weekend was full of football and BBQ. Katie picked me up from work Friday and we headed down to Tunica for the Smokin' Aces BBQ Contest at Harrah's with Brad, Sarah, and Dang She's Swine. We spent Friday night playing cornhole, BBQ'ing, and eating. We eventually made our way to the casino where I played some blackjack and roulette while Katie played the slots. We hung around some Saturday morning before heading home to prepare for the Tigers game later that night. Unfortunately Brad didn't place in any of his entries, but it was good just the same.

We met up with my parents and the kids at the game. It was the yearly game that the kids get to go out on the field as Pouncer's Pals. This was Allie's first year to participate. We had a lot of fun walking around, singing the national anthem, and watching the team run out on the field. Drew had a great time cheering on the Tigers with Walt, and then later with his new foam finger that he got. Allie had a blast too and is becoming quite a cheerleader herself. The Tigers of course lost. Who knows what kind of psychological damage we're doing to our children, but they seem to always have fun. Luckily the weather was great and we didn't need an appearance from Dave Brown at this one. We'll be back at the next one too.
