Christmas Eve was a little low key for us this year. We usually have both sides of the family over to our house on Christmas Eve Eve for soups and desserts, but we had to cancel this because of illness in our household. Drew and I got to spend some extra time at Papa and Gigi's, where I got to see the gingerbread train he had made there. We also got to visit Bass Pro Shop where Drew got a new hat that he is showing off there. Unfortunately we missed the Christmas Eve service at church, but we got to have some nice family time together. Allie put another bowl on her head, something she has taken to doing quite a bit these days. Then everyone got in their PJ's and we got the milk and cookies out for Santa. My favorite part of Christmas Eve was that Santa's elves weren't quite as busy as in years past and we actually got to relax on the couch and watch It's a Wonderful Life together. Then we heard some pitter patter on the roof and came out to find that Santa had come and left everything under the tree. Tomorrow is Christmas Morning!
