So, it wasn't much of a series really. But it was one heck of a season and what a fun ride. Whatever had worked the first two rounds of the playoffs didn't work at all for the Grizzlies when they faced the Spurs. The series seemed like it was over before it even started almost. But for another week Memphis was buzzing and hopping with Grizz. I wore my Tony Allen t-shirt daily. I had Allie saying "All heart, Grit, Grind." There were posters and pictures everywhere. Even LeBonheur got it on the fun. The Grizzlies were a part of the national sports scene and the city of Memphis hosted the NBA and the Western Conference Finals. Magic, Wilbon, and Bill Simmons all came to town among many others. And although the games weren't necessarily close, we got to thank the Grizzlies for an amazing season, a deep run in the playoffs, and for energizing this city and giving us something to be proud of here. It was a season where I went to probably more games than I have any other season, got to experience being a Grizzly for a day, fell in love with Tony Allen all over again, made it to all but one playoff game, and got to see my first semifinal series in person. I'm glad they resigned TA and we're already getting ready for next season!
