Two years ago this fall my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. After surgery and chemotherapy she is now cancer free. She never complained, remained strong, and never showed any signs of weakness or sickness unless you happened to know what was going on. She has been a hero and an inspiration, and we are all so proud of her and the excellent attitude she has had and the swift recovery she made. This Saturday marks our third year of participating in the Race for the Cure in Germantown to raise awareness and funds in the fight against breast cancer. The top two pictures above are from last year's event. It is a sight to behold all the survivors in pink and all of the supporters. I would like to ask you to join us Saturday morning for the run/walk, or if you can't be there in person if you would donate a few dollars to help in the fight against breast cancer. You can do either by visiting our team page at: http://race.raceforthecurememphis.org/site/TR/Race/General?pg=team&fr_id=1080&team_id=6230&JServSessionIdr001=cifvflblh2.app46b and click on Support Yauns and Friends! Thanks to all who have helped out and those of you who will. More pictures to come from this year's event.
