Ribs! Ribs! Ribs!

I love ribs! Ribs! Ribs! Ribs! This is what Drew said the first time he ever had ribs. It's a good thing, considering this is Memphis. And in that spirit my friend and brother in law, Brad, has started his own Bar-B-Que team, known as Dang! She Swine. He had practiced smoking some ribs tailgating at the last Tigers game and then entered his first contest last weekend at the Arlington BBQ Fall Fest. We set up last Friday and had a practice run, then did the real thing on Saturday. Brad and his brother, Jeff, worked hard perfecting their ribs, their sauce, and the presentation, while I did plenty of taste testing. Drew and I played and then listened to football most of the day. The ribs were excellent, especially Saturday's version. We were disappointed to find out that they didn't come in the top three, which would have gotten a small check and a trophy. However, we found out later that they just missed, coming in 4th, pretty good for the first competition. It was a great weekend of Que, brews, and family fun.
