The weekend after our trip to St. Louis was another busy weekend. Saturday we tried to go to another Memphis Tigers football game. We ended up tailgating at Central BBQ and left another game early due to a torrential downpour and eventually another weather delay. The two cloudy pictures below are from that Saturday.
Luckily the next morning we left Memphis for the sunny skies and perfect weather of Orange Beach, Alabama. It was Drew's fall break, but it fell on a bad week for me because it was right before my pediatric boards. So we chose to go back to the beach to ensure we had a relaxing trip where I could still study and we wouldn't be running around trying to do a bunch of stuff. It was a great decision as it was very relaxing and the weather was great. We spent every day out on the beach. Drew loves playing in the beach and the pool. Allie wasn't really as fond of the sand and ocean this time as she was during our last trip. She waited until the last day to warm up to things this time. Drew and I had to build another Pyramid and bring a little bit of Memphis to the beach. There was also a big hole the first day that he loved running to and jumping in and had me take a bunch of pictures. We got down there without any big events. We even went back to Lulu's for lunch on our way in- don't worry, I didn't even take my rings on this trip. In fact, I don't think we lost anything this time. We hit the beach that afternoon and then went for dinner at Tacky Jack's that night. I'll post our trip in a couple installments so as not to overwhelm you with pictures, so there will be more to come.
