Christmas Eve Eve

Katie has made a tradition of both sides of our family coming over to our house on December 23rd, or Christmas Eve Eve. She always does a great job of having lots of great food and it's nice to have the two sides of the family come together to kick off the holidays. This year Drew helped Katie make some cookies with frosting and sprinkles on them. He did very well helping out while also managing to eat massive amounts of sugar in the process. In fact, he behaved very well throughout all of our Christmas activities despite very late bedtimes and minimal napping. Drew also got to hold his cousin, Baby Walt, again and had fun sitting in the big stools with his Uncle Kyle. At the end of the evening Drew decided that it would be nice to see Santa Claus again and thought that I should play the part of Santa. So everyone took their turn to sit in my lap and tell me what they wanted for Christmas. Drew thought this was hilarious and it went on much too long, but provided the opportunity for some good pictures. Christmas Eve, Christmas, and post Christmas posts are coming soon.

What a good tradition! I bet it's nice to be able to have both families close by. Merry Christmas to both of you. Chris and I miss y'all.
