Overdue Update

There were so many things that deserved their own blog post in the month of November, but sadly that month belonged to the VA Hospital. It was there that I did my first inpatient month on the medicine side. It required quite an adjustment, but I survived. I did make some posts last month, but nothing more than posting a few articles really. I did have my 4 days off for the month, one of which Drew and I went to the zoo to check out the new Teton Trek. We had a great time seeing the wolves and elk, but we were sorely disappointed that the grizzly bears were not out on the day we went. I was also off on Thanksgiving, so we took Drew to see Curious George Live the night before and then made the rounds with the family on the big day. I was a sucker and bought Drew and pennant and this light up star at the George play. He was a wild man during the intermission as he ran around with his "flag." The next day at Kyle and Missy's house Drew got to hold Baby Walt for the first time and had a blast playing with Missy's nephew, Thomas. The next night we went out bowling, and Drew did great for about one game and then he decided it was more fun to play at the arcade games. One of the biggest events was the firing of Tommy West and the surprisingly correct hire of Larry Porter as the new Memphis football coach. I'm sure I will have some more to say about that later, but for now here is the month in pictures from the events as above.
