Day of life two for Allie and family was a day of rest. We were all still pretty tired after an early morning, the delivery, visitors, and all the other wonderful things from yesterday. Plus I was once a relegated to the couch, only at the hospital it is the dreadful pull out couch and not my wonderfully comfortable couch at home. Today was quiet and calm for the most part. Allie did well. The pediatrician came this morning and said that all was well as Daddy concurred in the background. She fed well and left Daddy with a lot of pleasant presents to change. Katie felt pretty good and starting getting up and about, although she is still having some pain and moving around pretty slowly. We had some more visitors, the first of which was the hospital photographer who got some great pictures that will be up on their website at some point tonight supposedly, although it's not up yet. I will post a link or something tomorrow probably. Then my cousins came back up and Amber took some great pictures of Allie that I will post at the bottom, below my pictures. The proud grandparents all made return visits as well. I left for a little while this morning to go visit Drew at my parents and he was more than excited to see me. Later I talked to him on the phone and he asked how Baby Allie was doing. The only good part about leaving my girls, other than seeing Drew of course, was that I realized I already had that new baby smell on me, one of the best smells in the world. Not sure if we'll go home tomorrow or not, but either way Allie and I will be watching our first Tiger game together tomorrow. She had to break out her Tiger gear a day early she was so excited.

Some of Amber's pictures of Allie. The rest are on Facebook.
