The First Snow Day

Well, it's snowed again in Memphis today, however, these pictures are from our first snow day almost a couple of weeks ago now. Drew and I got to enjoy the snow together and he really had fun. We woke up earlier than anyone in the neighborhood to run around in the stuff. Actually we had to run around outside as it was falling to night before too. Later in the day we went back out when the snow was ripe for snowballs and snowmen. We built a big snowman, but unfortunately I think our street was hit by a snowman assassin, as the next day they had all fallen over. As you can see below Drew's favorite part was probably just eating the snow. Either that or drinking a warm cup of hot chocolate when it is all over like in the last one.

I was in Jackson when it starting snowing and getting nasty outside today. I am on Genetics this month and there is a clinic in Jackson once a month. It was a long day and by the time I hit the road the snow and ice had already hit. Once I got on the interstate it wasn't too bad at all at first. Once I got to about mile 35 it got pretty icy and there was a patch were four cars had gone off the interstate there. I slowed it down the rest of the way home after standing still for a while there due to the wrecks. Once I made it home Drew and I went out in the snow in the dark to run around and make some snow angels. Maybe it will stick around for some more fun tomorrow.
