Our Not So Little 4 Year Old

Our little Drew turned 4 years old on January 5th. He had been saying for some time that he wanted to have a Super Hero party. He told us that he wanted to dress up as Batman for his party so I got him one a few days before it and we did a Batman theme. Being that it wasn't Halloween I had to pay through the nose for it too. But he loved wearing it before, during, and now after the party. We also had a Spiderman, Superman, and Ironman at the party too. Dad was going to dress up but we blew that budget on Drew's costume alone. It didn't help that I couldn't help but get the gloves and Batarang for him as well. He had a great time at the party with all of his friends. He got a ton of presents, including a Leapfrog Reader and a ton of clothes from his parents. In the pictures below you can see how excited he was when everyone sang him Happy Birthday. I think we set a new record for attendees with over 40 people this year. Drew actually wanted to have it at home this year, so I guess we made it one more year before the inevitable kid's party at Chuck E. Cheese or some such place. I'm sure we'll be talked into it next year though.

In other news we are scheduled to have the Baby Girl in 4 days so I will definitely have a new reason for exciting updates. We still don't have a name so feel free to leave any ideas or suggestions. Hopefully we will have a name when we see her, or maybe even before. Katie is doing well. This is a totally different experience for us as Baby Girl is measuring 50th percentile or higher in all catergories, already weighs about 7.5 pounds, and has a head full of hair according to the ultrasound. Drew had intrauterine growth retardation(IUGR) for those unaware, and weighed only 5 pounds 6 ounces at birth. The room is just about ready except for a rocker that is supposed to be here any day. I will try to post some pictures of the room before the baby comes. I am off next week for the arrival so I will definitely be blogging and maybe even trying to catch up some. Party pictures below!
