Christmas Eve

I don't even remember what we did during the day on Christmas Eve at this point. I think we just spent the day together around the house. We went to the Bellevue Christmas Eve Service in the late afternoon where we sang songs and listened to a Christmas sermon. Then we were invited by our good friends Jeff and Amanda to join them at their family's Christmas Eve get together. We gladly accepted and got to enjoy some good food with our friends while meeting their family. Santa Claus even made a surprise visit and gave all the kids presents which excited Drew. He got a Nerf gun, which we've had a lot of fun with, but unfortunately have already lost some bullets. Then we came home, turned on the Christmas tree lights, turned on some Christmas music, and began our family Christmas Eve activities. We climbed into mom and dad's bed and read the Christmas story about Jesus' birth from one of Drew's books. Then we tracked Santa with the help of NORAD on the computer. Last, we sat out milk and cookies by the fireside for Santa. Finally, we put the kids to bed and Santa's helpers got to work in the toy workshop. A couple hours later the adults were ready for bed and asleep in anticipation of Christmas morn.
