Drew is 5!

Katie and I cannot believe that our little baby boy is five years old today. Time has really flown by. It's so hard to believe that at this time five years ago we were feeding him and holding him for the first time and now five years later we were playing rhyming games and Simon Says. It has been so amazing to watch him grow and learn so much over the years. He looks like a little man these days instead of a little boy. He had a big day today also. He got to take cupcakes to school and eat them with his friends. He also got to wear the birthday hat and be the line leader there. This afternoon Katie and I surprised him with our big present to him, a "training wheels bike" as Drew calls it. He was so excited that he couldn't wait to go outside and give it a test ride. Then we went to Huey's for his birthday dinner, which was his choice. Unfortunately my mom wasn't able to come as she was home sick with the stomach bug that has been going around among a few people in the family. Drew got more presents there, including a Memphis football, a bike helmet, and rain boots and a rain coat. He got to drink lemonade, eat ice cream, and we all sang him Happy Birthday. We had some good family time at home before bedtime. He had a really big day and has another party with his friends coming up in a couple days. Pictures from tonight are below.
