A Night in NOLA

We went on a cruise! Katie and I joined Brad and Sarah for a cruise at the end of February that left out of NOLA and went to Mexico, Honduras, and Belize. It was un-Belize-able! More on that in the next couple posts. But first we went to New Orleans. We stopped by a drive-thru daiquiri establishment as soon as we got in town. We checked in to the hotel and then hit Bourbon Street. We walked by Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop, supposedly the oldest bar in America. We walked past our old hangout the Clover Grill- it's a long story, ask me if you want more information. First we hit up an old people joint at the request of Katie and I. It was a jazz club. I could have stayed there all night, but we stayed for a couple sets. We were the youngest people in there by at least 20 years. Then we walked the rest of the street, going by Pat O's, before we ended up at the Acme Oyster House for dinner. Their char-grilled oysters were delicious! Brad also got some crawfish, which he shared, and I got a po-boy. After that it was a long night with several other stops. The next morning the crew hit up Cafe du Monde and then went to the Cochon Butcher for lunch. I had a delicious breakfast sandwich. Then it was time to board our ship!
