Allie's Surgery and Drew Golfing

Allie has had recurrent runs of tonsillitis the last 6 months, including an unremitting month long stretch, so she had her tonsils and adenoids removed at Methodist Germantown about 3 weeks ago. We didn't tell her anything until the morning of the surgery when we told her she was going to the doctor who would make her all better. She was so precious as she just kept repeating that over and over. She was a really good girl, and although it wasn't LeBonheur, everyone did a really good job with her. Her bear even got his own wristband just like Allie, which she loved. We knew the anesthesiologist and we really liked the ENT that performed the operation. He really took the time to explain everything to us and make us comfortable. The rest of the day was rough. Allie got sick no less than 8 times probably, including all over Katie multiple times and on me once. She was better the next day and we were able to go home after she kept some liquids down and had some play time. The first 10 days were rougher than we had expected, as it took her that long to bounce back to her normal self. Everything has been going well since then.

Since we played it low key that weekend Drew and I had a guys night. We went to the park where I realized just how big he's gotten since we starting going there 4 or 5 years ago. Things that he couldn't do before he now does with ease. He's even trying to do the monkey bars. Next we ate at Five Guys and I was less than impressed to say the least. It was a bag of grease that I could have gotten at Burger King in my opinion. My favorite part of the night was going to Putt Putt. Drew was so focused on getting a hole in one that he would put his ball in the middle of the green and then hit it. Finally around the twelfth hole I told him just do put it at the beginning and hit it. He promptly got a hole in one on that hole and exchanged his ball for an orange one and got a prize. Then we hit some with the big boy clubs at the practice range. He loved it and keeps asking to go back. He did pretty good, but he really needs some junior sized clubs.

Saturday we went to the Square and the Farmer's Market as it opened up for the summer. Sunday I stayed home with Allie and got to enjoy some sweet Daddy and daughter time. She loves to dress up and look pretty!
