Interview Trail, Episode 3: University of Arkansas

This Thursday afternoon I set out to Little Rock, Arkansas, to interview with the University of Arkansas on Friday. I went alone this time so that Katie could work the full day Thursday and then have her day off with Drew on Friday. I checked in at the hotel and was a little disappointed, as it was not as nice as the others that I've been put up in so far. However, the dinner that the residents took me to that night more than made up for it. It was at a place called Caper's in West LR, and it had been named the best outdoor dining, best wine, and most romantic place to eat in LR. We got crabcakes for appetizers, salad, a filet mignon, and delicious chocolate creme brulee for desert. The next day was the usual smiling and talking and everyone wanting to make sure I had all of my questions answered. (The thing I hear the most at every single interview is always: What questions do you have?) But it was a good day; morning report was an absolute hoot as this older doctor gave the residents a hard time for not knowing answers or for the color of their ugly shirts. The residents were another fun bunch and it seemed like Little Rock was more than what I had thought from hearing about it over here in Memphis. No pictures from this trip, as they would have all been taken from my car window. I got to see a lot of the city on the way in, but didn't do any real sight-seeing otherwise. I have a break over Thanksgiving week, so next up is Greenville, SC on December 2.
