Smashing the Great Pumpkin

Even though it has been almost three weeks now, I could not let Phil Fulmer's resignation/firing go by without some comment. Although I naturally dislike UT and their fans/coaches/players, etc., he was an awfully easy target to hate. It will really be sad that he is no longer there to make fun of and to provide a sense of joy for me while I watch Vol fans agonize over his play calling and whether or not he should stay or leave each year. Hopefully he still has one loss left in him against Kentucky so that UT can lose 8 games in a season for the first time in their history-a fitting goodbye. It will not be as much fun to dislike Tennessee with Brian Kelly or whoever else at the helm next year. UT fan's expectations are so far out of whack at this point that he will have no chance and continue the mediocrity that has become the norm there. Fortunately for me, the UT basketball team has taken the place of much of my orange hatred lately. And with the sweat hog Bruce Pearl leading the way there is never a shortage of material there. Here are some great Phil moments through the years.
