Easter Parade

Drew woke up Sunday morning to find his ducky Easter basket filled with goodies including a chocolate bunny(really for Dad), the Kung-Fu Panda movie, a potty time Elmo coloring book, eggs, and his favorite-a new Thomas the Train. That was really all he was concerned about. It was like Christmas morning all over again. You can sort of see his smile under his pas in the picture below as he is still waking up. After a few minutes he said "I have a Thomas the Train nooowwww," which was pretty cute. His big wooden train from Christmas is not a Thomas set, but all the Thomas things are able to integrate with it. Drew was very excited to go to church, we went to Ellendale with Katie's parents and grandmother, even telling me that we were going to see Jesus.

We went to Katie's aunt's house for Easter lunch with her family and my parents came as well. We weren't able to get a good picture of all three of us, so I included a good one of Drew and then one of Katie and me as well. Unfortunately Drew refused to take a nap that afternoon as Dad tried to watch a great Masters, which was really like three tournaments with Tiger v. Phil, Kenny's ups and downs, and then the playoff.

We went to my parents house that night to have Easter dinner with my family and this is where the title of the post originates. Drew made us all get up and march around the house and play instruments in the band, alternating the Memphis Tigers' fight song with tunes from the Wizard of Oz. He also got a shark towel from the Easter Bunny at Gigi's house which he is showing off with Poppa below. It was a busy but fun day spent with family and worshiping our risen Savior.

The look on his face when he is holding the train is so precious!
