Egg Extravaganza

Katie and I went to the Redbirds' game Thursday night without Drew, so he spent the night with my parents. We met my dad and my sister at the park Friday morning and the result was all of us riding this bike in a circle contraption with Drew. Then we went over to my parents house and dyed Easter eggs with Drew for the first time. He had a lot of fun doing it despite the fact that he ended up cracking about half the eggs. We grilled out there and then got to come home and watch the Masters, and went to eat at Vinegar Jim's with Katie's parents that night, so we definitely had a Good Friday.

Saturday morning we woke up and went to the Arlington Town Square for the Easter egg hunt there. Drew was in the 0 to 2 year old group for the last year, so he should have dominated, but he made a mistake at the beginning. He wanted to be picked up and by the time we got him to actually go pick up the eggs it was almost all over. He ended up getting five or six, enough for him to enjoy the banana flavored Laffy Taffy that was in one. He played a couple of games and then took our turn seeing the Easter Bunny. He did pretty good, although he was a little scared at first. But once I sat down with him he was great, even giving him a high-five before we left. We came home and spent the rest of the day working in the yard, watching the Cardinals and the Masters.

Saturday night we took Drew back to AutoZone Park for the Redbirds game, which was one of the quickest games I have ever been to, lasting just over 2 hours. Then we watched the post-game fireworks, which Drew loved although he was a little scared of the loud noise. More pictures from Easter to come next.
