Ahhh, a dilemma. Parents are supposed to go on vacation...but Bob the Builder is coming to the Children's Museum...and to top it off parents favorite band is playing in town. What to do? Well, we just decided to leave a day later and start our vacation in town. That's right, we're crazy. We sacrificed a day on the beach for things going on in little ole Memphis. First we took Drew to the Children's Museum to meet Bob the Builder. I don't know much about Bob, I'm not even sure what channel he comes on, but Drew seems to know him. He must watch him at the babysitter's house. Drew loved seeing him and even gave him a hug and high five before posing for a picture with him. We even made a BTB hat. Don't worry, Drew had a good time while Mommy and Daddy were out of town. He got to go see the BTB show at the Orpheum on Sunday and is still talking about going to see him again. Also that night we went to the Botanical Gardens to see their summer concert series, Live at the Garden. Did we go to see the headliner, Train? Not really, although they were really good and I have rediscovered the two Train CD's I had kind of forgotten I had. We went to see the opening act Sister Hazel! We were joined by Sarah and Brad and we had a great time. We had never been to Live at the Garden before, and it was so nice. We even hung around to meet the band and Katie got to have her picture taken with her favorite band member, Jett. She's such a groupie. After the concert we drove a little ways before stopping for the night and continuing onto our trip to the beach. More to come on that soon. It was definitely worth the wait though.
