It has to stop. For some reason I continue to attend and interview at schools that I have an intense dislike for in the realm of sports. I have gone to school for almost four years now with an ugly orange UT patch on my shoulder everyday. I have interviewed at some of my Memphis Tigers most rivaled schools. At least I realized that Ole Miss and Louisville would have just been too much. But in the same spirit as UT and UAB, I went to the University of Cincinnati last week to interview there. We got off to a late start thanks to a rousing orientation that I had to attend here in Memphis. Unfortunately, we did not make the dinner the night before the first day of interviews, but we did drive around a little when we got there. We stayed in a nice old hotel where we must have had a handicapped room, because we had the biggest bathroom I have ever seen. Oh, by the way, this was a two day interview, my only one. We awoke to freezing rain the first day, which was spent on the medicine side of the street and with the Med-Peds people. Their medicine program was surprisingly impressive, a secret weapon as they called it. They have a combined med-peds clinic that was probably the nicest resident clinic that I have seen. That night we went to dinner at one of the med-peds resident's house and had some good salmon, but the highlight was the local ice cream place, Graeter's, which has a delicious raspberry chocolate chip flavor. The next day was spent at their children's hospital which has been ranked third in the country and was quite nice. There was snow that morning, but not much stuck, so we had no problem getting out and going home. Katie got out the first afternoon and looked around some nice neighborhoods, and did some of the same the second day. We enjoyed the city, it had a lot of nice, unique neighborhoods and wasn't as large as we had originally thought. The skyline at night was very pretty as well. Unfortunately, with the weather she was not able to get any good pics, and she did not complete her job since she failed to go downtown and get pictures of their stadiums. The picture below is of our hotel. This is probably the last interview for us; I have a couple more scheduled, but will probably cancel them. Now comes the hard part.

I think it's a little sad that you are such a Tennessee hater. =)You'll accept your degree from them, but you can't force yourself to cheer for there teams. Hmmm...? Oh well - your loss I guess. =)
I'm looking forward to March 19 when we find out the ending of the "Interview Trail".
Lili, it's my fault he is a Tennessee hater!
