Caduceus Ball, or Med School Prom

We are sitting on E. As in empty, exhausted, just plain out of gas. It was a long week. And before Saturday night's activities we had to watch in delight as the Memphis Tigers took the Maryland Terrapins to the woodshed in a show that was not safe for all ages. I hope Mizzou plans on providing some more bulletin board material in the fashion of the Terps' Greivis Vasquez. Saturday night we got all dressed up and headed down to the Peabody Hotel for the annual med school prom known as Caduceus Ball. We had a pretty good dinner of salmon, but it was really highlighted by the white chocolate duck filled with chocolate mousse that was swimming in a sea of raspberry sauce. That was followed by a program honoring the attendings, residents, and professors, and then our class superlatives and slideshow. Katie and I danced a little bit, but nowhere near the way we did the week before. We had no energy and so we called it a night comparatively early. We had a great time with all our friends and can now relax until sometime in late May once the graduation festivities start up.
