Hey look there! I got a bailout from the Bank of Obama! Just go ahead and put ten or twelve zeroes on the end. Actually, President Obama is not being quite that generous. At least not to me and all of the other future doctors, pharmacists, and other health care professionals out there. His new health care revolution is calling for even more cuts to Medicare reimbursement. The following is an excerpt from an article in the Washington Post:
Obama aims to make a "very substantial down payment" toward universal coverage by trimming tax breaks for the wealthy and squeezing payments to insurers, hospitals, doctors and drug manufacturers, a senior administration official said yesterday.
I mean who is going to go into medicine anymore? What is the motivation? We may have universal health care in the future without enough doctors to adequately provide it. Now I'm not cold-hearted. I'm all for insuring kids and of course I think everyone should get quality health care. However, I don't think I should be the one paying for all of it. Looks like we are on our way to becoming a European nation. Speaking of which here is a float from somewhere over there honoring The Obama.
