Happy Birthday Katie!

Today I want to wish a happy birthday to my lovely wife, the mother of my child, and most of all my best friend. We celebrated a little early last night by going out to eat at Bhan Thai in Midtown Memphis. Usually I am the one who knows the proper etiquette at dinner and what everything is, but I had to ask Katie what a couple things were and how to eat properly. It also took all I had not to yell out "BHANTHAI" similar to how Daniel-Son and Mr. Miagi yell "BONZAI" to each other in the Karate Kid. Drew and I went ahead and gave her our present so she could wear it to dinner last night. We gave her a necklace with two charms, one with a D for Drew and the other with a K for Katie to match the ring we gave her for Christmas. Drew also wanted to get her a book for her birthday, and we came home from the bookstore with "Hello, Fredbird," which is a children's book about the St. Louis Cardinals mascot. Needless to say Drew doesn't quite understand the gift giving process just yet, but I was surprised he said he wanted to get her a book and not toys. Anyways, Happy Birthday Katie!!!
